Inspired equally by Victorian hothouses and Grottos, the Ungapatchka Phalaenopsis lamps are an exercise in excess. Layered texture, hidden details, opulence and abundance. The turned American Oak bases are painted to resemble stone by renowned Australian decorative Artist, Kat Rhodes. The tie dyed shades by Australian lighting company Rakumba, and have been through many processes to achieve the desired sun bleached effect. The Copper and Brass blooms, a fantasy hybrid of a Phalaenopsis Orchids and a Bearded Iris are hand made and formed, using blackened, aged and flamed finishes. In their center, semi precious stones, Quartz Crystal and Tigers Eye. Hiding under the base are marbled bronze leaves and behind them, a dense, soft forest of artificial moss, and twisted, undulating Copper root forms. Brass lamp holders, woven fabric cable and plugs are UL listed.
